Dibond or ‘Di-bond’ is a generic term used to describe aluminium composite material. The Alcan Company manufactured the original Dibond brand however, just as the Hoover brand name has become synonymous for a vacuum cleaner, Dibond now refers to all aluminium composites.

Dibond is made from a sheet of tough plastic packed between two layers of aluminum.
